From Midnight on Friday 2 October, there will be new coronavirus restrictions for Warrington.
Visit the coronavirus page for more information about these important new measures.
Due to current Covid-19 safety restrictions, ceremonies at the register office and other venues must be kept as short as possible and limited to the parts of the ceremonies that are required in order for the marriage or civil partnership to be legally binding.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to add the usual enhancements to your ceremony, including readings or your own choice of music.
No more than 18 people may attend a marriage or civil partnership at Warrington Register Office, in order to allow for social distancing. This is the maximum number for all attendees at the ceremony, including the two registrars, couple and guests. It also includes any third-parties, such as photographers.
There will also be no waiting room facilities available before or after ceremonies. Guests at weddings and civil partnership ceremonies will be required to wear face coverings, including those taking place in churches, register offices or other approved venues (unless an individual has a legitimate reason not to wear one). Face coverings will not have to be worn by the bride, groom or civil partners, unless they wish to do so.
