Collection and analysis of equality monitoring information enables us to design and deliver services that meet the needs of local people and support our workforce effectively. This document contains information on who accesses our services, workforce profile, equality achievements and challenges and gender pay gap information. This document helps us to demonstrate how we are meeting the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) under the Equality Act 2010 which requires us to publish a range of equality monitoring information relating to people who are affected by our services and our workforce.
The role of the group is to champion, integrate and promote equality diversity and inclusion throughout the council. This group is responsible for the delivery of our equality objectives and ensures compliance with the Equality Act 2010. The group is chaired by the Chief Executive and comprises of directors and trade union representatives. The group meets regularly throughout the year.
