Hate crime
National lockdown: please stay at home
Warrington is subject to the current national lockdown restrictions - please stay at home. For more more information about what this means, visit our coronavirus web pages.
If someone has committed a crime against you because of your:
- disability
- gender identity
- race
- religion or belief
- sexual orientation
Then this is a hate crime and it’s really important that you speak to someone. If you’ve seen or know about a hate crime, please report it.
Let’s stop hate crime
We work with the police, public sector organisations, charities and community and voluntary groups to try and stop hate crime from happening - together we’re called Warrington Hate Crime Action Alliance. Our Hate Crime Strategy aims to celebrate inclusion, champion fairness and respect and challenge hate. We believe that everybody has the right to feel safe and is not subjected to hate crime and discrimination because of their ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender expression.
Report a hate crime
Call the police on 101
Go to a local police station
Go to a hate crime reporting centre
Go to the True Vision website
If you or someone else is in immediate danger please call 999.
